RESEARCH

I employ inclusive design research methods to address health and racial equity in technology experiences among historically marginalized populations. My research takes a qualitative approach to understanding perceptions of health and wellness, discerning technology needs, evaluating current limitations in technology interactions, and designing adaptive interventions, all aimed at creating equitable experiences for historically marginalized communities. Iā€™m most interested in exploring these areas through co-design, and creating tools that support community collectivism and world-building. In my most recent projects, I leverage a community-based participatory research approach to explore the societal implications of technology such as AI. Some of my research has grown into tangible real-world resources. Check out the Building Utopia Deck.
